I asked EverettB to post it for everyone to see, but I guess he's 'out to lunch'.
Erik G can see it/do it as he's friends with Mario too.

This is only a partial Holy Grail. The Fastback I remember seeing at the dealer service dept. in the late 1970s also had the blue dash, armrests, seat bases, wheel, column, etc. like a Teak or Pigalle. I suppose it could have been faked, but why or how? I think it was still with the original purchaser, too.

Wish I'd had a Polaroid that day, but I had no idea what I was seeing... my much younger self thought it quite ugly.

This one of Mario's is very exciting and rare nonetheless. Looks like it's a '67. The 'mythical' Azure model would have been an August 1965- Jan. 1 1966 built car like the Teaks and Pigs. (Type 34 alone offered these total interior options for the entire 1966 model year if I recall correctly).

get over yourself. No, we cannot see it. I'm not friends with Mario either Rolling Eyes

(Nothing against Mario, with few exceptions I only am "friends" with people I have actually met and even then I delete people)

Yep, this is the "late model" Azure interior.

Here's an older pic of another one from 2013 here:

Another one I have recorded as an N-model Notchback:

Maybe not original though?

Yes, I can see it now. I would have thought the dash pad, armrests, shifter boot, seat bases, and all the other bits would have been blue like they are on Teaks, and Pigs. But, I do like the break up with some black mixed in.

I saw a notchback at the NIVA VW-Fest near Chicago a couple weeks ago. I noticed the dash was blue, and asked the owners (a couple from Indiana) if that was original, and they said yes, but clearly were not aware of the fabled azure interior. Unfortunately the car overall is nowhere near original.
