I am looking for a new or rebuilt or refurbished TDi engine in PNW - Oregon/Washington.
I have a van with a bad 1.9 TDi 1Z and planning to replace it another one but not sure if it will be the same engine or a newer one such as Boxeer or any other option.

thanks in advance for your help.

Assuming it's installed at 50 degrees with some or all of the factory diesel bits, then the 1Z/AHU is fairly unrelated to any of the other TDI variants. You need to consider how much of the current install you want to carry over to the next. If you want an easy swap then another 1Z/AHU is a no-brainer

Casey is right on the money. The guys at Cascade German had some crate engines but I'm not sure the inventory as of now.

It's worth an inquiry, the website doesn't have all of their items or what these guys have access too.

I can vouch for Cascade German. Aaron is a standup guy to deal with and knows TDIs. I purchased a factory new ALH long block and other parts from him.
