I have an issue with the tire rubbing the chassis on a full travel turn. I don't believe there is an end adjustment for steering, but thought I'd check. It is only happening on the passenger side front wheel when turned all the way to the right (the side of the tire closest to the rear of the car contacts the chassis). I have a completely stock 1970 standard beetle. Wheels and tires are stock size (165/R15) Thanks. |

I thought there is a bolt threaded through the pitman arm connected to the steering box that limits the turning of the steering in one direction. Have you looked at that? _________________ 1968 1500 RHD Lotus White Beetle since birth. In the hospital for major surgery

Yes you're right. My memory was hazy. I knew there was a bolt, but I thought it was on the pitman arm itself. Here's a blurry photo of the round shaped bracket in about the 11 o'clock position.

Perfect, I'm probably missing this bolt. I'll check and report back. Thanks! |

This board is awesome! The PO had the bolt all the way in. Adjusted and am now in good shape. Thanks everyone for the education |
