Wish you were closer, I’d just come over and work on it. _________________ 77 Westy - Cape Cod Sage

There are so few ACVWs in NJ that it is diffcult to find a dedicated shop. But there are two that are still around:
Automotion in Passiac
Pegasus in Linden
Haven't used either recently, but I always went to Aldo at Automotion for routine stuff until I learned how to DIY.

Well, neither one of these is an exclusively air cooled place. I have no affiliation or experience with this one, I just occasionally see an old VW or two in the lot on my way to work: Mike's Imports, 700 Richmond Ave., Pt. Pleasant Beach...looks like they work on a lot of other German brands, maybe worth a call.
My local "regular" car mechanics have done brakes on my bus, and they seem to be willing to do some types of work on old vehicles, saw an MG Midget there, occasionally an old pick up or something...never hurts to ask: Joe's Service Center, 584 Mantoloking Road, Brick...tell them Rod sent you, not sure they'll be happy about it:). Maybe if they need some fill in work...
If you find someone around, keep us all informed!

I used Auto Import once, a few years ago, when I was in NJ. Replaced a MC for me. They seemed to know their stuff. They are located in Highlands, NJ. Maybe 45 min from you.
