Anyone have any pics of the Teak and black interior for a 1965 Arcona white Ghia?
I don't know if it was a one year only or not.

Thanks,
Dan

According to the color charts on here, it was 1966, called teak pepita, and was with the Arcona white/Lotus white.

I've seen the color on the charts, but I was hoping someone would have a picture of the interior of a car in teak. Kind of hard to visualize what it would look like from a swatch.

Thanks,
Dan

From the December 2007 thread Special edition ghia's, ...

Five years after my last post, I can finally show you a picture with all the three special editions together.

This is probably the first time that all the three special editions are captured in one picture. The teak is the most rare of them all. Only three are known to have survived and this is the only one that is currently running.

1966 Pigalle
1966 Teak
1973 Sport ghia

Did the '66 Teak have the same dash trim Patrick?

Hi john,

Yes, same dash trim as on all the 66 models

Something interesting about the interior is that:
The pigalle has a leatherette interior
The teak has a fabric (stoff) interior

According to the Paint and Upholstery Chart here in The Samba, while the optional Teak interior remained the same throughout the entire model 1966 model year, it was paired with the L582 Arcona White until to Jan 1966 (Ch. N. 146 531 868) and then with the L282 Lotus White from Feb 1966 (Ch. N. 146 531 869).
It doesn't appear to be stated clearly which white is on the Teak Special Edition pictured above, but to my eyes it looks more like the Arcona White.

IMO, the Teak is a very good looking interior, and it's a shame that it was only offered as a very limited Special Edition for the 1966 Karmann Ghia model year.
