My uncle's Porsche 550 Spyder. He had it for 27 years, then sold it in 1982 for $22K, the next owner found a 4 cam engine, then found and got the original engine (not running but reparable) and also sold it 27 years later to a funny guy in NY for between $4-5 million (terms couldn't be disclosed). Meanwhile in the early '80's I was pissing my money away on a skiboat.... Oh well, I still have my dad's original owner Roadster... |

Dino and Pantera are cool cars, the Saab Sonett is cool too, as is a Lotus Esprit. An Amphicar is also neat, so is the Schwininwagen. The Lunar Rover is cool, but really out of reach. A honking big tire jeep with super low range gear, lockers and such is awe inspiring
But my 61 Bug makes me the happiest, been driving it for 40 years, rode in it on day of my birth. What can be better? _________________ Help Prevent VW Engine Fires, see this link.....Engine safety wire information

Always had a soft spot for the 1960s XKE. Actually, all of the E-types.
I wouldn't turn down a Ford GT 40 if someone has one they want to get rid of. _________________ Brian

1973 Ford Country Squire Brougham Station Wagon
I picked up a 1977 Squire. We rode around in a 74 when I was a kid in the sideways facing seats but I figured 77 was close enough. We had the wood paneling, this one doesn't. 5000lbs of Detroit (actually assembled in Canada ) makes me smile even though it needs lots of work.
Hard to find them since I think most were demotion derby-ed. |

XKE, coupe or roadster? Both are fantastic looking, but to me the coupe looks better, I like the rear door the way it swings sideways too.. Often hard top versions of great looking roadsters are not well done pleasing look wise, but in the case of the XKE the coupe nails it very well. Both are great looking!
This reminds me of an old Avengers episode, Steed and Peel days, when the story was based around a car rally. Some really cool cars are coming up here just like in that TV show.
How about an old Bentley with a blower?
How about a fire engine, ladder truck.
How about a halftrack? Sherman Tank? _________________ Help Prevent VW Engine Fires, see this link.....Engine safety wire information

After that, any '69-71 Charger , Cuda , Challenger, Road Runner, or Super B, but it has to be a stick !!!! _________________ Tom

Buy & drive, meh.
VW Golf R, Audi R8, Jeep Wrangler or Dodge Challenger may be for a week or so.
Build & drive.
Retire, each build is 1 year build & drive, no budget constraints, Build & drive.
'53 Chevy Pick Up Truck, the way Icon builds them.
Dismember a Chevy Bolt, and build an electric Squareback
The Chevy seems more open source than dealing with Tesla's BS for parts.
Subaru powered Myers Manx
69-70 Mustang, again build it the way Icon builds cars.
LS7 swap on a C3 Corvette no newer than '72
