Hi
I have water accumulating in the driver side door of my 70 Std Bug. How does the water drain? There are supposed to be holes at the bottom, but I donīt see any. Should I drill some holes? Where would the water drain?

Thanks

Clean the bottom real well...There should be 2 holes there. Partially covered by sheet metal. If no holes, then yeah drill a couple....at least 3/8" and make sure you have plastic on the inner door panel side

The holes (sometimes more like slits than holes) are probably plugged with dirt, so a thorough cleaning is needed!

I had two holes at the bottom of the passenger door, and one had a chunk of glass in it (where the window had been shattered at some point, I assume); the other hole was partially blocked by a fold of original metal from the factory. I drilled out the second hole to make it as large as the first, and vacuumed the glass chunks that blocked the first hole.

This is NOT unique to the ACVW world. My dad's new wife was driving around and had sloshing every time she changed speeds. Took a pipe cleaner to the 2 drain holes on her Ford, and the gunk that came poring out once I cleared the mud was rancid. For some reason she thought I was amiracle worker Embarassed
