for me, it was my first water cooled VW. a 1979 scirocco.
i bought it in 1991. my senior year of high school
im no waterpumper fan much anymore. but what i wouldn't give to have this car back. sad thing is, the guy i sold it to broke down in 1992 ( i traded it for a slammed 65 bug) and left it on the side of the road. tow company came after me for tow fees because it was still in my name. never paid them, or reclaimed the car. oh well. someday i'll get another for ol time sake. great car, i thought. it will probably cost me a fortune to find a clean one again.
let the memories begin.

1983 oldsmobile delta 88 ugly POS but soooooo much fun
ill have you people know that this car's 3 feet (joking!!!) of suspension travel made 70 mph speed bump crossings a dream (not joking there) at 70 mph it literally felt like a little crack in the freeway going over 4-8 inch tall bumps and i want that car back just for that ability... well and the fact that mine had shiney silver carbon fiber stick on racing stripes from kraigen and a body kit off of a junkyard integra (im kicking myself for not getting a pic now) _________________ Bermoco buggy on 57 pan - under construction

You only get one??? I have three:
1969 Perugruen Squareback with sunroof and dealer A/C. Bought it in 1975 with 48,000 miles. Traded it in Sept. 1977 for my only brand- new car ever, my 1978 Westfalia with dealer A/C, which I installed after hours.
1960 Mercedes- Benz 180D. A guy asked me "how much" one day and I told him "ten grand" figuring there was no way in hell. He Emailed me and brought cash the next day. That car just secreted "cool".
1969 Mercedes- Benz 300SEL 6.3 Euro. Monster V-8, self- levelling air suspension, midnight blue with black leather/ burled walnut interior. "Attilla" and my wife hated each other. One of them had to go. Yes, I made the right choice, but I still miss that car. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I'm starting to get little wafts of bus stink coming from the north. Something about the unique scent of drivers seat padding when it's glued together with mouse piss and shit that really gets me going... and I'm smelling it! Oh yeah! Time to start loading up the equipment. |

My old 1967 Porsche 912.
First "German" car I ever owned and even
way back then as a young pup, recognized
the quality.

1959 Chevy Bel Air 4dr., 283 power pack, 3spd overdrive.
That car would run on top end, but was a sleeper, being a 4dr.

I had a beautiful '83 Honda Accord in college (1991). It was very low mileage, looked brand new and drove great. I really regret selling it since it would probably have lasted a long time and saved me a ton of money in my future cars' repair bills. _________________ Donate to TheSamba.com
