I was looking at a 1995 Eurovan (Canada) and the seller indicated that the "rear heater leaked causing rear fan to quit so I removed hoses to the unit", any idea how much it would cost to fix the heater?
Thanks |

Same happened to mine. The coolant leaks into the box and then shorts out the blower.
About $100 for the blower and $100 for the heater core. Both are super easy to access (just some screws) so do the work yourself. The biggest issue might be finding replacement hoses, depending on how the bypass was done, as some of those are NLA from VW or pretty pricey.
FWIW after replacing everything on my 1993, I discovered that the plastic hard pipes to the rear were cracked. So the rear heater is yet again bypassed on mine. Still trying to find a (cheap) set of aluminum hard pipes.
