Pulled out the Porsche yesterday so I could access the left side and prepair the fitting of left fender repair patch. Lot of work with the front end of the rockerpanel... seems like it was welded 15mm to much forward... oh well.. after a lot of work I got it decent so I could fit and align the door and fender again.
I came to the conclusion that I will buy new outer skin for both rockerpanels. Will get everything much better that way. Also will see what else the previous repairer have hidden inside the rocker panels....
Didn't get the upper hinge on the lefthandside door in far enough so I will have to do some fine adjustments with the heavy hammer to get it right...

Got the bumpers done during Christmas holidays..
Welded the bottoms of the rear frames in March this year.
Here with the prefabbed bumpermount
Tackwelded the enginemounts.
Also finally found an enginemount for an affordable price...
Bought an old Luisi steeringwheel from 1982 two weeks ago... :inlove:

Oh. Not much posted lately. Not that there have been so much progress either though...
Some though..
Got the rear seat patches preshaped in march 2021..
In may 2021 I started to fit in the frame repairpatches..
Also started to think I should fix the shape of the rear crossmember to correct for the -69...

Cut up rear frames today. Only way to properly fix rust issues and bumpermounts...
Wonder if the stiffeners are 912 only as they are located where the 912 engine mounts were..?

I'll bet you are correct That these are 912 only.
Probably shown that way in the original parts book.
Mine are not so rusty but slightly bent by the cross member.
Time to buy a Celette jig! _________________ Al Brase
