i figured i'd just replace the fuel sender bracket because the tank is out, but was amazed to find the one that's in there is 1 piece! were some of the OEM ones put inside they tank when it was manufactured? it seems there's no way to get this out of the tank without grinding or cutting, which seems a bit dangerous given all the residual fumes coming from the tank, not to mention the metal particles and crap that will inevitably end up in there.
has anyone devised a better way to cut these out??

I used heavy duty wire cutters, line man type. This didn't cut all that well but made it easy to fold like a taco and remove! |

Why take it out ??
Can't you simply put a new seal on it? _________________

Agreed. The factory part is better made and if the studs are useable and it’s not disintegrating from rust, new seal and back in place. _________________ ☮️ |
