Cleaning up the shop a bit and finding all manner of used VW engine and transmission parts that are no longer suitable for reuse in a car but I'm feeling creative and thus contemplating turning them into some sculpture or functional art.
Pinterest has all manner of interesting ideas of table lamps, coffee tables, coat racks, wine racks, toothbrush holders, trophies and the like. None of it seems like VW parts were used.
I'd like to see pictures of things others have put together using VW parts to get some ideas started.
Post pictures of what you have!
Thanks. |

This is something that absolutely intrigues me.
Wish I had a fraction of the talent that exists at your house.
Where do you find the time?

I made a lamp out of old parts I had laying around. The "VW" is made out of metal from the nose of my bus I cut off. I have no idea why they uploaded sideways. My lamp is in no way shape or form the quality of the one above. But I like it.

Old front nose from my bus. Its on the back porch with solar lights around it. Putting it up there was my wifes idea. Why they are uploading sideways I have no idea. Maybe because I uploaded them from my phone.

My wall art evening light, back lit and the shadow pattern is very interesting to see in person.

Joe thanks started with this cheap desk lamp disassembled and reassembled with the hub cap and valve cover there is a piece of hanger in the post as the valve cover made it to heavy it wouldn't stay up used the base in the hub cap to add weight to keep it from tipping over
