Got this keychain from a friend who used to own an Oval Beetle.

Looks very nice and detailed. Anyone has more info about it?

On the ring it seems there is 3 letters: O.B.B.

If you use a highlighting paint pen or paper correction fluid on those letters- then wiped off the excess- they'd be easier to read.

My guess is they read D-B-B. Which would be cool if they had something to do with the ad agency from the 60s- Doyle Dane Bernbach

Thanks for the tip hitest! I did this and also did some very light rubbing with a tissue (don't want to get rid of the patina!) and best I can make out of it now is "D.B.P.". Would have been really cool if it whould have been from VWs ad agency but then the second symbol would have to be a "D".

Did a Google search and found a D.B.P. Opel key chain and also some with St Christoforus on ebay with the same key ring so apperently it is a German brand from the 50s 60s. Cool Cool !

Holy cow! Found a Gute Fahrt one for sale here https://www.thesamba.com/vw/classifieds/detail.php?id=2069995

My friend asked me to sell it for him together with some parts but I might talk him into giving it to me as a thank you for my services Laughing
