…………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………...yes. they do .but npr pistons are heavy .and the 40hp heads get real thin when you cut them for 92s also the cyls are thin and don't cool well . like thick wall cycls do.i used nprs in the 1970s they all ways had blow by. oil all over the plasce... also the 40 hp stock fan needs to go I would use a bigger fan . I have seen these 92mm sets selling new for $500.00 all you can do is try them .to me there not worth buying .but that's me

I was thinking of boring an extra set of 40hp okrasa heads I have ..since I have a pair that some one before me had them bored for 85.5mm cylinders/pistons .. and seen those npr 92mm pistons /cylinders but I notice how thin those cylinders were and heard how those cylinders suck ..but was thinking maybe if I could buy the 92mm npr pistons and go buy some thickwall 92mm cylinders I bet those would help with blow by .. but than I wanna follow the rules of vintage speed and wasn't sure if those npr 92mm pistons would qualify for vintage speed because some folks say yes and some say no so it like ummm 😣😣 🤷‍♂️

……………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………………...I have been racing vws since 1969 . I say they would be a vintage race part.for a vintage motor .I don't know what the rules are for a vintage race motor. but from what I see the 36hp guys doing is a lot of hand built one of a kind motor parts . like cranks cyls. so on .I would hate to see you bore out a set of rare heads . one has to ask them selfs. is this the right thing to do. in the old days lol the hot set up for a 40hp motor was corvair 88mm piston cyld. sets . I am sure it was for a 40hp motor I never built one but I know of guys back then that did build them . you might want to make sure I am right . I know empi offerd a 69mm crank for a 40hp motor I know the old 1963 bus motors where 1500cc with a 69mm crank with the same size kind of 40hp rods but had a bigger 22mm pin size I think they took a 6volt fly wheel not sure you could use the 40 hp rods I think on the bus crank I am sure some on on samba knows about this set up more than I do .some thing to think about I love old school motor builds good luck keep on posting spencerfvee

Look around for an early SPG 40hp stroker crank (74mm) to go with those pistons .. I found a few NOS in Australia at one time.
