Anybody in or near Littleton?

I am attending a training and it looks like the location butts up to McLellen Reservoir.

Trainings are Jan 10-12 and Feb 21-23. For January for sure, I plan to drive out on Thursday the 9th, attend the training, and leave Colorado on Monday the 24th. February will at a minimum have that schedule, buy my wife is thinking of coming along that time, so perhaps we'd go up to the mountains or something for a day or two after.

So just curious about maybe a driveway and shower use near the area? I'd be driving the '78 Westy and sleeping in it.

Thanks!

Bumping your request, Dave.

If we still lived in Denver, we'd have a place for you. Hope you find one.

Check the vanalert app. They have a driveway host section. Good luck.

Good reminder! As I recall, that is how you found me in Kansas!

Hi Dave,

We're not crazy close to Littleton (about an hour and ten) but we've got a traveler's center set up here at the Van Cafe/RMW warehouse in Fort Collins. Key coded for security, showers, kitchenette, bathrooms -- all free for you to use.

Not ideal for your location but if you're interested, give us a shout during business hours. 831-426-1244

Cheers!
Trevor

Fort Collins has a nice mountain scene without 70 being involved too...

I must have mentioned it in the Colorado Bus Owners thread I posted in on the Bay forum.

I remembered seeing your facility in one of your emails, and double-checked the location... Hoping that it would be somewhat close!

From Google, looks like it would be about an hour and a half drive from your place to the training location. I'll keep it in mind, but I'm mostly afraid that in that stretch, I'd have a problem with traffic or something and be late or have problems getting there or something like that. Would it be possible to get a code, just in case? Or would that potentially take the shower availability away from someone else if I got a code and then decided not to come up after all?

It is a super cool setup you guys have with that-I wish I'd have known about it when my wife and I came through in May on our honeymoon trip!

(I also wish you guys did some stuff for us Bay Window drivers!) Very Happy

We're south of Littleton in Castle Pines (20-30 minutes depending on where in Littleton) but you'd be welcome to our driveway & shower! - Edd

I did end up using Vanamal's driveway. Had a wonderful time getting to know him and Mrs. Vanamal, as well as some of their kids.

Because I always like to take a pic of my Bus in each campground I go to:

Those are great photos, VWwestyman! Do you have a Propex or some form of heater for winter camping.

I once again was able to spend the weekend enjoying Vanamal's driveway and hospitality.

And, now I can say I am EMDR trained!

Thank you once again, Vanamal and Mrs. Vanamal! It was a pleasure getting to know you-we'll have to plan a camping trip up in the mountains some time!

Neat! I’m a MH clinician by trade too, most certainly not EMDR
(assuming same acronym use) trained but it’s an interesting modality. The van world is a small world.
