Anybody in or near Littleton?
I am attending a training and it looks like the location butts up to McLellen Reservoir.
Trainings are Jan 10-12 and Feb 21-23. For January for sure, I plan to drive out on Thursday the 9th, attend the training, and leave Colorado on Monday the 24th. February will at a minimum have that schedule, buy my wife is thinking of coming along that time, so perhaps we'd go up to the mountains or something for a day or two after.
So just curious about maybe a driveway and shower use near the area? I'd be driving the '78 Westy and sleeping in it.
Thanks! _________________ Dave Cook

Bumping your request, Dave.
If we still lived in Denver, we'd have a place for you. Hope you find one. _________________ 84 Westy, 2.1L with Digijet, 5.43 R+P, GT Gears

Hi Dave,
We're not crazy close to Littleton (about an hour and ten) but we've got a traveler's center set up here at the Van Cafe/RMW warehouse in Fort Collins. Key coded for security, showers, kitchenette, bathrooms -- all free for you to use.
Not ideal for your location but if you're interested, give us a shout during business hours. 831-426-1244
Cheers!

Fort Collins has a nice mountain scene without 70 being involved too... |

I must have mentioned it in the Colorado Bus Owners thread I posted in on the Bay forum.
I remembered seeing your facility in one of your emails, and double-checked the location... Hoping that it would be somewhat close!
From Google, looks like it would be about an hour and a half drive from your place to the training location. I'll keep it in mind, but I'm mostly afraid that in that stretch, I'd have a problem with traffic or something and be late or have problems getting there or something like that. Would it be possible to get a code, just in case? Or would that potentially take the shower availability away from someone else if I got a code and then decided not to come up after all?
It is a super cool setup you guys have with that-I wish I'd have known about it when my wife and I came through in May on our honeymoon trip!
(I also wish you guys did some stuff for us Bay Window drivers!) _________________ Dave Cook

We're south of Littleton in Castle Pines (20-30 minutes depending on where in Littleton) but you'd be welcome to our driveway & shower! - Edd _________________ '87 Westy "Vanimal" |

Those are great photos, VWwestyman! Do you have a Propex or some form of heater for winter camping. |
