Hello everyone,
Some friends and I have a deadline to meet in early January, and we are looking to buy a new set of Len Hoffman’s Blueprint Special Type 4 cylinder heads. We are ready to pay full price plus shipping, but we didn’t order them in time for January delivery...
Does anybody have a new set laying around that aren’t needed at this moment?
You’ll be our new best friends!

LN Engineering is the Type4Store. Funny tho, they have better prices and free shipping....
Len makes them and they both sell them, HAM included. IIRC he can add a few bells and whistles. And the Camper Specials are basically the same as his Blue Print Specials. But seriously, call him. https://newsite.hamheads.com/

Hey Guys, let me clear up a couple of misconceptions.
My Blueprint Specials are based on AMC castings with our robust valve seats and valve guides and Crower springs and Chromoly retainers but come with the highest quality available stock 2.0 Bus valve sizes, 39mm x 33mm. They get minor port work.
Our Camper Specials are also based off the same AMC castings with our guides and seats and Crower components, but they get larger valves, 42mm x 36mm and much more port work. To date we have not sold Camper Specials direct to the public.
We hope to have more Oval Port Blueprint Specials available late Jan or early Feb. We have a hard time keeping them on the shelf. We currently have one pair of Sq Ports.
We have one pair of Camper Specials on the shelf on behalf of the Type 4 Store. They could be shipped for coatings Jan 2 or if the optional coatings aren't going to be utilized they could be shipped right to the customer.
I appreciate your continued support of my little business!
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year and a million trouble free Bay miles. _________________ Len Hoffman

if you really wanted to get someone's attention you should offer to pay cost and 1/2....someone else waited for them and you want to jump in line?
perhaps someone will help you out, obviously that's what you're looking for...but it's been stated time and time again here how long it takes to get the simplest tasks done in the cottage industry we call air-cooled vw's.
or call HAM direct, offer him double to work overtime. he may help...or not. _________________

Nothing against HAM but what happened to Adrian? I thought he was supposed to be the schnitz on T4 heads. I thought he used new AMC heads and did the whole makeover right there down the street from you. Did Adrian let quality slip away? It’s been a few years since I bought a T4 long block from him and had two exhaust port studs pull out during assembly and at a very low torque. Since he is 40 miles from me I did the repair myself. _________________ Lead Mechanic: San Diego Air and Space Museum

Adrian is usually closed up for holidays around now, I think he visits his family or something for a few weeks. I think everyone else has a more than 4 week turn around time, which doesn't cut the 'early January' deadline.
I don't think this is a technical discussion but more of a WTB with urgency. Robbie, please post an ad in the classifieds. _________________ Wash your hands
