How do they differ from hydraulic drums apart from the adjuster hole? Are they compatible?

… looking in my VW 1957 parts book - no differencing made between hydraulic and mechanical

FRONT DRUMS - only showing a difference for drum p/n ,111 405 615, front up to ch. 1 673 4120 and 111 405 615 (same number), from ch. 1 673 411, for 111,112,115,116 and for 113, 114, 117, 118, 151, 152 = p/n 113 405 615 A

REAR DRUMS - P/N 111 501 615, brake drum rear to ch no. 1 673 410 - p/n 111 501 615 (same number), from ch. 1 673 411 for 111, 112, 115 ,116 and p/n 111 501 615 A, from ch. no. 1 673 411 for 113 ,114, 117, 118, 151, 152

According to this info - the drums are all the same. Exclamation
