Now I gotta come up with some replacement springs.

I spose these were rusted enough to break off during the disassembly.

And this will be the flywheel.

Odd that the original v6 flywheel is cast.....and this is an 8000 rpm motor in stock form.

I am gonna loose a lot of weight getting this thing small enough to go in the 901 bell housing.

Crud.....whole post just disappeared....

And again.

The whittled flywheel, type 1 starter ring, Mazda 228mm pressure plate, type 5 disc and throw out bearing all fit together and went on the Mazda v6 and Porsche 901 trans.

Now to get a starter to engage.
It is an odd depth to ring.
The plan is a Tdi starter and an adapter.

Anyone know the offset for a Tdi starter?

I did get that starter on there.
Tdi starter on a 901 trans with a whittled down Mazda flywheel and a type 1 ring gear.
