|

Hi folks.
Given that some upper control arm bushings wear prematurely....
What's the most times you've removed re-installed the long bolt for the upper control arm? (uca)
IIRC, that long bolt uses a lock nut, if re-used too many times, is there a risk that the bolt might break when new nut installed?

I wouldn't worry about breaking the bolt, it's a big ass bolt!
The nut torque is pretty low, I reuse it.
I usually put good quality bushings, so the number of times doesn't apply to me: do it once, do it right! _________________ Silicone Steering Boots and 930 Cv boots for sale in the classifieds.

I've always re-used them too but if your on the fence Chris at T3 sells the bolts and I believe he can supply a nut as well. |

Thanks people. No doubt its a big bolt but the yellow colour (IIRC) of bolt metal made me wonder about bolt grade and quality but I'm sure they're fine. That plus the required locking nut....
Jake: Hadn't looked at it from that point of view. Thanks.
I've replaced the UCA bushings once already but have no idea how many times the bushings have been replaced.
