Don't know what you're going for, but if the pictures are showing what paint really looks like, I would recommend color sanding and buffing before assembly. It looks pretty solid. |
pictures are actually doing it justice, lol. it has a lot of dry spots ,runs,ect.. its also a single stage paint. thanks airstream |

Not exactly. The interior would have been a one year only striped cord pattern.
Here’s a thread on it.

Time to drop the "mic" part, it's supposed to be Mc.
Check that clutch disc, I don't think that it's gonna fit in that flywheel & that flywheel might not fit the crank. But that's a lot of new goodies. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

got the body separated from the pan. all I had was a board ,jackstands ,and a weight bench. and ratchet straps for "safety". lol . first thing was rolling stands for the body. on the cheap. so I looked thru dumpsters at work , and found some 2x4s. then stopped at home depot on the way home. I bought some wheels. and finally finished it off with some old hardware i already had.. wanted body as high as possible ,but still reach top of roof without ladder. heres what i came up with.
