a lot of time spent prepping
finishing dog house
for some reason I really wanted to paint my alternator black . I thought about it over and over , a thousand times . black ? or stock finish ? . I wanted black and couldn't talk myself out of it ……….. and then I went on and on about taking the alternator apart and painting the inner metal cage red . but I couldn't talk myself out of that either so now the inner cage is red . lol

I used the CIP1 intake on my '66. It fit fine, but it has 2 ports for some unknown vacuum application. I wish I had removed them & welded them shut before I installed it. I just have them plugged with caps for now & it works fine... _________________ I Didn't know what to do, So I Didn't do anything!!!! |

About the header wrap, it does it's intended job, it keeps heat on the exhaust tubing. This leads to overheating the tubing & causes it to become brittle & crack. _________________ Everybody born before 1975 has a story, good, bad, or indifferent, about a VW.

yea TDCTDI I hear you . also possible corrosion or rust . I always ran this stuff on my sport bikes . never had a problem . those exhaust systems can be upwards of $1000 . but yea I hear you .always good to consider pros and cons of header wrap . but the real reason is I freakin love header wrap . lol. there was no chance of me not putting it on , I just couldn't stop myself . thanks again |
