Hi,
According info on TheSamba and barndoor.dk the engine change from 25hp to 36hp took place in December 1953 around chassisnumber 20-069409 and engine number 20-0695356.
I found two empty engine cases with number 20-0659176 and the other one very close 20-0653xxx
First one I believe oktober 1953. Strange thing is that both case have the longer cylinder studs on the outside -> so 36hp.
Did they change to 36hp before December?
Am I missing something here?

Thanks,
Jeroen

Did you check the casting dates ? possibly factory or garage reconditioned (restamped) cases?

Hi,

case code is 9 10 33.
So I believe 9 oktober 3rd shift 1953.
Maybe they changed the heads and studs during its life, but both engine case have this. I think that is too much coincidence......
