The built of my chassis has finally progressed to a point where I could assemble all the transmission oiling stuff. I am sure the oil will be terribly confused finding its way back into the case Laughing

Oil pick up and scavange filter with magnet

Electrical oil pump switched on at 113F, into filter from there to thermostat

Oil exceeding 180F will be routed to the oil cooler

Pressure control and distribution to the gear pairs

Excessive oil directly into case

Now I can bench the system. I need to find the sweetspot of spraying a good amount onto the gears and still flow some directly to the R&P. All at as low pressure as needed. Things I can play with is the nozzle size and spring pressure for oil pressure control. More to come.

Time to fry some transmission oil Laughing

Here are some pics from my bench. I tested the system today.

After several runs with adjustmens of the spring pressure and the jet size of the squirters, I found what I think is a good compromise of oil share between the direct oil return into the case and the squirters. All at about 7-8 psi to hopefully not overload the E-pump.

This concludes the transmission build. I will have clean oil at all gears at all times. Even the Berg 5th will get enough. And when things get touch I can be sure to not overheat the transmission Cool
