Installed my old Brozol 30/31 pic 3 carb today to see if would perform as a back up carb.
Got the car started and warmed up but it nearly shut down a few times. I could see that there were problems so I cut ignition. Then I noticed some gas spurting from the tube at the carb top cover for a few seconds after shutdown. Removed the carb and reinstalled my working carb.
I had just rebushed the throttle shaft on the Brozol and don’t think this is an air leak issue. Any ideas? |

Dead float? Stuck needle valve? Too much fuel pressure? That’s all I can think of for fuel exiting the vent tube. Take it apart and find out. _________________ Jimbo

Yeah, I'd look first at a float/needle valve issue. _________________ Andy T.

I do not know how to fix this. All I can say is it all works fine for me with what I use, Firefox. |

Thanks. I took the carb top off today and noticed that I may have used a larger float than called for (one for the 34 pic 3 carb). Installed what I think might be the correct float. The needle valve seems to be working fine. Will install and check the carb again soon. I believe the float may have been the problem. Thanks guys! |
