He was on a different forum yesterday.
Probably found himself a lady friend and doesn't have as much time now.....

Oops. sorry
I'm...mostly ok.
Tried to reduce the amount of time I was "wasting" online.
Good news is I did manage to quit being "addicted" to forums.
They say it's not an addiction if you can quit at any time, right??
Bad news is....... I'm not really seeing any positive benefits from it.
So, probably will be back. |

They say the best way to rid yourself of temptation is to give in to it.

If I didn't spend the time in front of the 'puter, I spend it in front of the TV, so what is the difference.

Nailed it. And I don't even watch TV.
But yes, if I don't waste my life here I'm just wasting it somewhere else, and I don't see the grass being any greener, anywhere that I can be. |

i'm one of those "physically young(37) but mentally old (grumpy and want to yell at everyone to get off my lawn..) guys and if i've learned nothing else in my years it's that when you find something that brings you any kind of enjoyment, don't let other people take it away from you just because they don't understand it. it's your life, not theirs, and the ones that truly care about you, will support that. Anyone who wants to take away YOUR hobbies because THEY aren't interested, only wants you to be at their beck and call to build them up but won't reciprocate..
obviously, if you're smoking crack and people are trying to get you to stop it's cause they don't want you to die, but for me, my wife and kid know i need some computer time, and some model building time every so often to help keep me sane. _________________ -pariah (just a novice from "that other VW site")

It’s good to step away from time to time and life throws us curves, death, illnesses, divorce, job loss, etc, etc. After years of Samba you feel as though you know some of these unique personalities. Maybe that’s what keeps them coming back.
Most all of the regulars have something to offer even if it’s just support or a kind word. I think some of those fellows that ain’t coming back (died off) would want to see this train keep rolling do it for them so that those just coming up can be helped. Share if you can 50 years from now someone will read this and find it helpful or amusing, who knows? |
