Hoping someone can help here...

I have a 1943 Type 82 Kubelwagen that I'm currently carrying out a minor restoration on and I need a bit of info concerning the spring plate angle at the rear when re-installing the plates.

When the plates came off they were under no pre-tension whatsoever, which I don't think is right.

Does anyone know what angle they should be re-installed at to give the right pre-tension??

I've searched and searched and can't find the answer....

Many Thanks

1951 manual says like this. Do you have the rod's diameter of 26,3 mm?

Thanks for the reply.

The torque rods are thicker in my Kubel.

They measure 29.3mm diameter.

Just found this info which would suggest there is no pre-loading required.

The spring plate is rested on the bottom stop and the torsion bar installed accordingly, but I don't speak German unfortunately.
