I see two different styles of side badges for a Karmann Ghia, which is the correct one to use? The one has a flat edge on top, the other has "ears". Or are they both original and go with different years? Mine is an early 1969 and want to be sure I buy the correct version.

My 1970 Coupe has its original badge in place with the flat top (no "ears"). I suspect that the "ears" version is much earlier.

Bat ears is lowlight years for sure. Not sure when they changed to the flat version.

The one on the right is known as the "Bat Ears" logo, and it was from 1955-1959, some 1960 had them too. Flat top badge is all cars after that.
