|
|
I went to check its operation last weekend, and even used a borescope to peek into the shroud and check flaps... they stayed open even when cold... seemed strange, so I looked underneath.
Not sure when, but I lost the bolt holding the bottom of the thermostst to the bracket on the road.
Anyone know the thread size and length off the top of their head? I can go get one at ACE but want the measurements right... and another lockwasher for it, too! |

Parts book has it as an M8 bolt, 15mm long. _________________ 1965 Volkswagen 1500 Variant S

Got to love the design of the thermostat system. Fails open. _________________ Volkswagen: We tune what we drive.

Thanks, I'll check out that size, and use a more aggressive split washer, too. |
