Looking for a good Remanufactured/ refurbished block assembly in the mid west
to include block, pistons, heads, cylinders, cam, cranks shaft, etc.
I'm looking for a 1600 for a 1966 split window deluxe bus.
Any insight into where purchase one would be great.
Thanks

McDonalds or WEndy's?
Quantity or quality? Engines all around. PIck your poison.
It is all in the tolerances put into the machine work ..or balance work. Around my area, I don't know anyone who can work VW engines even close or has access to a balancer. They just dont seem to care for it. Dynamic balancing cannot be stressed enough into any engine build. The engine is just that much better, smoother, lasts much longer.
I hope you find a nice motor man. |

Lot's of folks out there and some good suggestions above.
I like to go with someone local in case there are issues. _________________ www.vwnos.com [email protected]

I have to agree with you there, just not many VW machine shops close around here.
Found one 3 hours away, so may talk to them.
