Moustache bar differences, 2WD vs Syncro?

Does anyone know what the differences are between the 2wd & Syncro moustache bar? Also, was the bar different on the air-cooled vans? Photos would be good.

I'm doing a subaru ER27 conversion and I need to modify it, but I'd rather keep mine original and use a different bar.

syncro bar hangs lower.
the end mounts are about 2 inches taller than a 2wd bar.

not sure on aircooled.

Get a 2wd bar and buy some bar stock to make up the height difference of the ends compared to a syncro bar.
