Hello all,

I realize now why my driver's side vent defrost doesn't work, but my passenger side does, the foil tube is missing?

Does anyone know the diameter size of this tubing? I can't find it listed on GoWesty or Van Cafe. Thanks.

These one's are what I'm talking about, for reference.

I used the 1 3/4" from empi found at your local discount import parts. I had to use the original cardboard tube to make some spacers/bushings.

Hmm. Great tip and we have such a shop. I think I'll tape mine on as well - vibrations, etc could dislodge.

I might try and find some shop vac hose that would fit. it comes in 1-7/8 outside diameter that might be just perfect.

Hi,

I'm trying to reassemble my front dash after an engine upgrade. I drive a 2WD, Automatic, 1989 Westfalia.

I got overenthusiastic with the cleaning. I removed a vent hose that is troublesome to push back behind the wheel, as per original routing.

Original routing pictured below.

Does anyone have any tips on how to get this hose pushed back into place? Though, it is not shown in the picture below, I have pulled out the front heater core (again) to buy myself some more working space.

Any help would be appreciated.

Regards,
Carl
