How do you get the tumbler out?
2ndly why did someone drill a hole in this part?

you don't. the tumblers are in the barrel for good. (kind of)
unless you mean the mechanical portion of the switch. someone had a good write up. search "removing ignition lock"
basically you need to depress a spring and pull the lock barrel out. helps to have a key to aid in pulling the barrel from the lock mechanism _________________

ALLLL righty then. I do have a key for the ignition. And a plan to send all the handles, latches and keyed things to all be keyed the same.
BTW, I got a glove box latch with a key, but the guy I bought it from said he thinks it will need to have a separate key. I guess I can deal with that, may never lock it anyway.

the holes drilled are from a hack that couldn't access the hole for the retainer spring.
you can't easily open the ignition barrel, so when you get something keyed, you match the ignition to the rest of the car _________________
