I have a wanted ad on the samba and just like most of you here I am careful buying remotely and ask the seller for some proof like pics of him in front of car, pic of vin, pic of title etc ...
... so did I with this "seller" after he contacted me with nice pics of a bus He wanted to sell me.
This is how he complied to my requests ... I cannot stop laughing at it. Have to give him credit for trying hard I guess (BTW he used the same pics of the bus he sent me originally now with him "in front of the bus"). Got to love the ID as well:

Quick, ask him for his bank account information so you can wire $80,000 directly into it. Or send him a money order for $3,500 more than the asking price so he can give the surplus to the person picking up the vehicle.

He's good at having the exact same pose for every picture! It's almost as if it were photoshopped!

| The sad thing is that as laughable this is, someone somewhere will send him the money. If not, the scammers would be putting in more effort than they do. It is obviously paying off for them. |

Seems legit!
LOL, I've seen a few of these Ferber but that is far and away the worst photo-shopping I have seen of all the fake titles and ids.
I've never seen them send pics of them in front of the Bus before - that is a new one.
To anyone:
If anyone sends you their id as "proof," I can pretty much guarantee it's a scammer.
I've never seen a real person do that.

I think this site with all the astute folks with keen eyes and lots of knowledge, does a very good job of ferreting out the nonsense. If an ad lasts longer than 10 minutes, it's most likely legit. (Now that doesn't mean reasonably priced or anywhere near the condition claimed. That's fodder for the "whines" in every forum to deal with  )

So the sign on the garage wall behind the Bus is a New Hampshire state inspection sign, the siloute/face on the left edge of the sign is "The old man on the mountain" a N.H. state trademark...... Just saying....

Never buy from a guy who illegally parks in a handicapped space
And no front license plate as required in TX (and NH).

Just cuz the bus is there doesn't necessarily mean the owner is anywhere in the same vicinity. Or state.
