1973 sepia brown....I've been all over Google but I'm sure that I just suck at this kind of thing....is it something that's still in the system or will I have to just pick a brown from house of kolor.....I'd love to have the real thing like this

If you have even a scrap of the original paint somewhere accessible in the car.....take it down to any good auto paint house. Pay the man to read it with their spectrophotometer. They can match it in a series they have in stock.
Thats how its done these days (actually for the past 30 years+). If they are not using a house paint series/brand you want to use......first find a house that has your series stock (meaning they have the complete mixing series with software)....and then inquire if they have a spectro. Most houses that do factory colors or work....have this tool.

Maybe this will help. Porsche used Glasurit paint at the time. Glasurit has a pretty extensive website to find color information too.
