difficult to be definitive, without seeing it for real, but to me it looks a lot like pastel turquoise ral 6034. but check out the ral chart and google image the colours you think are close.
and you could try contacting the tatra museum - https://www.tatramuseum1.cz/stranka/sluzby-badatelum.html _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

now I understand...it would still be a good idea to drop michaela an email (link above)
for me personally the colour is too strong and I would tone it down to this
but good luck with your project _________________ "we're here on Earth to fart around" kurt vonnegut

Interesting machine.
I can't understand why Dr. Porsche was accused of stealing his ideas from Tatra. It looks absolutely nothing like a Porsche engine and transaxle. And the suspension is completely different!

In a way he did steal tatra idea with the transmission .. Ferdinand Porsche
Hired workers who worked at the tatra facility and they gave Ferdinand the design of the swing axle so in a way he did still it ... engine wise no tatra engines are different at that time tatra had the t87 and t97 ohc ... the vw engine was build in 1935 or so the tatra t600 pushrod engine was made in 1949 the tatra 600 engine picture above but the tatra 600 was a better engine to me why ??? Each cylinder well pushrod/ lifter has its own lobe so the cam had 8 lobes the vw has 4 lobes on the cam so the lobe waste faster on the vw... the tatra 600 came stock with a 2.0 fan looks like the 911 fan a way but tatra was made in 1949 and the porsche 911 in 1963 ....theres story's how vw or porsche took over tatra back in the day but I always wonder why didn't vw or porsche just use the tatra 600 engine as there's since they took it over its a better design .... I just don't really know if or how vw or porsche really took tatra over its just stuff I see around the internet ....if I could one day buy a tatra 600 engine I would throw that engine in my vw add dual carbs add a big bore so on so on ...but that's just a dream 😪 ...i love both vw and Tatra engines I don't care who stoled what it is what it is nothing we can do about now days besides enjoy them ...... |
