Not sure where post this so thought I'd try this first. I have a mechanical/electric 6v clock that needed new glass (plastic) and a new face as both were damaged, the clock works perfectly. I thought it would be easy to sort as I have worked on a VDO clock in the past but have found this a bit different. The problem came when I removed the hands, easy on VDO, the hour hand comes out complete with the drive spindle so released the various drive wheels and spacers. These are a very tight fit on the shaft, took a lot of force to remove, guess the clock was telling me something.
When I removed the white plastic cover to expose the mechanicals a few bits fell out! Could anyone advise me on 1 the order they should be replaced, and the best way to rebuild it - want to do it myself rather than take it to a clock mender if possible. Thanks in anticipation, Bill
