A nice car, if you don’t mind the 80s touches on the interior (velour door panels!) but that shroud and relocated exterior oil cooler needs replaced. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Wow - that is a nice car and according to the dealer extremely low mileage- I agree - that's not going to last long at that price... _________________ RIP HBB (1984-2009)

There so much anti Autostick propaganda out there that unfortunately it probably won’t got for much more than that and maybe even less on BAT. Autosticks do horribly there.
On the plus side, anyone who doesn’t have a problem with Autostick will end up getting a beautiful car for likely 1/3 less than if it were manual. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

It's fairly easy to convert these to a 4-speed if desired. That's a really nice car... _________________ '63 Ragtop (current)

I wonder though, on an original and low mile car, if that doesn’t hurt the value? Be a shame nonetheless… _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

If I owned it, I would just drive it as is. The auto stick seems ok to me. Still a fun car. And how many Karmann Ghias with 22k miles are left out there? And a pre 72 at that. Hard to pass up. _________________ Marc

Decent car, but these prices are amazing compared to 5 or 6 years ago. I think the fact that there's not been a lot of offerings lately probably bumped it up a bit _________________ Marc

Looks like new rivets on the VIN tag, and rusty. |

Im going to defend this one.
It’s fought for sure, with some bad bodywork and paint, but it’s not a total turd.
I see no evidence of metal replacement. The lower front nose, the rockers, lower fenders front and rear are all original and intact and not exceptionally rotted out. The rivets you see are an attempt at repairing popped spot welds along the front lower edge of the nose where it is spot welded to the inner spare tire well structure and along the rockers the metal probably popped loose from rust damage. More than likely it will need some lower outer rocker replacement, but at least no one has attempted it and made the damage worse.
On the other hand it has original pans with some visible rot and the rear bumper mounts are solid and dry as is the spare tire well. A roached car would have rotted in all those spots.
It’s a turd, sure, but it is a redeemable turd and restorable at the right price. _________________ Go Reds! Smash state!

Yet another glorified golf cart in Ghia guise came up on BAT. Someone speculated it only has a 50-75 mile range.

My BAT comment
"I was not a fan of EV Ghia conversions.
Then this showed up!
The spirit and soul has been retained.
Bravo!
GLWTHA!"
Range be damned, I really like this one _________________ "Depression is a malfunction of the instrument we use to determine reality.”
