Hey guys, what's the best way to clean up/polish beauty rings? I have a set of the slotted ones for a 4-lug 72 Super Beetle. They don't look real nice. I tried some chrome polish but that didn't do anything. Also tried some steel wool, that didn't do much either. _________________ Michael Loret |

If they so far gone that the methods you already used didn’t work, then they need replaced or painted. You could sand and paint them bright aluminum rustoleum. Won’t be like new, but they would have a uniform look. _________________ David Richerson

First off, I know i made stupid decisions that led to my predicament, so while you are welcome to tell me that I am an idiot for doing the things I did, please know that I am already aware of this. |

you need to de-anodise them, tap out the dents, then steel wool will clean them up pretty well, polish then your can clear coat them or anodise them again. Most good chroming shops can do it for you. _________________ 58Euro 23 343208 The Ultimate Zimblewinder Machine.
