I have sold over 40 tow bars at this point and have only heard from about five people about their performance. If you bought a tow bar from me post how you feel about it. Good, bad, things that could be improved or whatever. Even tell me how you feel about how I did handling your orders. Thanks _________________ Why buy what you can build.

I bought one of your first towbars that you did. You know the ones when you didnt have your jig made yet. We had a problem with the first one not fitting and you sent a new one out to me at no charge. Even covered the shipping cost. I am still having troubles towing a bus with a brake booster. Very pleased with your bars though. I used one from Texas to Illinois 1,000 miles with no problems. _________________ Dan

Are theses bars just for splits or do they work for Bays as well? _________________ 65 Bus, 72 Bus, 63 bus, 98 Golf, 92 Cabrio, 71 Fasty

The tow bars work on both splits and baywindows. Great heavy duty bars well worth the money. _________________ Dan

Yeah, that was tow bar prototype #1 with zero rise and a hitch ball that was way too high. Thats why I started putting the rise in them. It would have worked better with a lower drop hitch on the tow vehical. I have built a new club tow bar since then. Although Ian still has Ole #1. _________________ Why buy what you can build.

I bought one of Jeremy's tow bars...
My only complaint is that it is HUGE, but it works great. I have pics using it to tow away my old bus to the junk yard.
I don't think that there is a way to make it smaller without compromising quality, but it is a nice thought.
I give Jeremy two greasy thumbs up for his work. _________________ 71 Westy

I bought one. The first time I tried to use it, it didn't fit over the axle and had to be sepated a little, but no big deal. The second time I used it as we turned a corner it broke where the two arms become one. Tow vehicle went one way the bus went another, big problem. I wrote to you about the problem but never got a reply. Needless to say I'm not to happy. |

I bought one and shipped it to the UK. Jeremy was helpful and shipped in a timely manner. I told Jeremy the wrong hitch size due to poor measuring on my part, so I have to remove this and replace with a larger one - Again MY FAULT. The workmanship looks good, but I think I will add extra gusseting and safety chains - Just for my peace of mind. |

I'm sorry to hear that. This is the first I have heard about it. Did you try to call my home # or email me directly? Did you unlock the steering lock when towing? I sent you a PM. I would like more info. _________________ Why buy what you can build.

Keep in mind that the bars that Jeremy is selling are used to tow a bus, not tow with a bus.
