Gents-

Does any know the size/length of the three screws that hold in the engine deck lid lock?

Thanks

Oops I hit enter too quick. Took it to Lowes and tried a few on. Got it.

That's the right plan.

Ace Hardware typically has tons more metric than Lowes and HD.

A lot more. Even allen head 10mm screws to make upper left engine mount easier on late cases for doghouse engines, JIS metric stuff (12mm wrench size for 8 x 1.25mm threads).

I don't know about True Value.

Ace has a great selection of metric stuff, they even have wave washers.

It would be very bad for my wallet if I had a hardware store that close.
