a couple songs always spark memories of my bug.
pretty much anything off the Kottonmouth Kings album High Society. practically never took that CD out back in high school. specifically, Peace Not Greed. like 55 seconds into the song the lyrics are "like a dog on a leash locked up with no key, i gotta smoke under cover, mother**** the police" and like once a week id drive down the front of the school with that song blasting, timed just right so that line was playing as i passed the parked cop car right in front of the front gate.
Wait and Bleed by Slipknot is another one. i had home stereo speakers in the trunk. used to fade out the rear speakers and blast that album out of my trunk in the parking lot before school.
Saints And Sailors by Dashboard Confessional. first time i ever put a backseat to good use.

senior year of high school, the lights in my bug were spotty so i hijacked my dads 92 Ford Escort to go to the homecoming game. drove home like a jackass speeding all the way, all the windows down and Three Point One Four by The Bloodhound Gang cranked up to 11.

Papa Roach's Infest album. first time i ever hijacked my moms 99 Pontiac Grand AM i popped that CD into the CD player, went and picked up some friends. we just cruised around all night blasting that album. im starting to loose it, but at one point i could tell you what song was playing and what street i was on when it was playing.

Line and Sinker by Billy Talent. my brothers 1992 Chevy Cavalier. was doing the bodywork on it at school. had that album in heavy rotation and for whatever reason that song always seemed to be playing. can't hear it without thinking about block sanding the back drivers side door.

“I will follow him”, by Peggy March. Sorry old school. When I first started driving my dads 54 Ford in the driveway I just remember that song playing. 14’ forward, 14’ in reverse. And of course I thought I was very cool.
