356B T5 Carpet Details?

I'm going to try putting in my carpet set soon. One question that I have straight off is about the holes for the seat rail screws.

I see that "C" car kits seem to have the carpet precut and the edges bound so that the carpet kit goes AROUND the seat rails... but on the "B" cars (or maybe it's a T5/T6 thing I don't know)... what do I do there? Do I cut out the smallest possible holes for the screws so the seat rail sits up on top of the carpet? Or do I try to cut very precisely around in a big long skinny rectangle?

Looks to me from pictures I just make the smallest possible holes and then the rails ride on top of the carpet and smash it down.

Anyone got advice or pics?

The tunnel rails on T5 cars sit on top of the carpet. Use an awl to locate the holes. If you find a pair of ~1x2 inch metal tabs with rounded ends and a hole at one end, these go at the front of the inner tracks, between the carpet and track, and hold the rubber floor mat in place.
