Made some new friends over the last couple days. Broke down travelers passing through with a blown out wheel cylinder.
Rich, Heather, and Izzy did what they could to keep it rolling while waiting on parts to arrive on a holiday weekend.
Helped put em back together, shared a few beverages and camping time, and sent them on their way across the Kanc, headed for Acadia NF, in Maine.

Not a bad view. Sunrise over the Kilkenny Range this morning.
Rich gets photo credit.

Guess it's nitpicking but technically it's a Type 2 (T3) not a Type 3. |
Thank you. I thought a squareback was a Type 3? Had one back 30 years ago, so I should have remembered that.

no I saw it and without knowing the age of the dog(s) I'm not going to comment it's a litigious society these days.
as for helping stranded travelers I tip a pint in your direction.. the central NH region is magical in many ways.
though I tend to hit northern NH in the 'tourist' season. I criss-cross central NH on most of the 2ndry roads. |

It goes without saying that im here to help anyone in need up this way. I get as much out of it as those being helped. Spent my earlier days traveling the country in a beat up 76 westy, without a clue or a care in the world. Had several breakdowns that left me in towns for days and weeks.
Survived with the kindness and help of others. Id like to think that part of our community hasnt changed in 30 years. At least not as far as im concerned.
Whats left of the ole girl, forever resting in a Georgia woodland.
Type 3, yes?
Its on the list to retrieve some day.
I will enjoy that tipped pint! _________________ You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer. Zappa

That 76 Westy is in impressively good condition. It looks better that most of the busses people are driving here in Ohio!
I definitely think you should try and pull it out of there if you are able, if only for the OG body panels. _________________ -Ian
