working on a buddy's 914 .wipers not working .I know nothing about 914's any tips/hints/clues what to look at. wiper relay?can't find it. can I take the wiper motor out without pulling the tank? to test. any help will be great! I don't even have a service manual for this thing. thanks in advance.

look for power at the red with white wire when the key is on and the wiper switch is flipped up from its off position. If no power look at the round relay on the fuse block and the fuse number 8. Then call for some more troubleshooting advice |

got it! swapped the relay with the foglight relay now I got wipers .the car has no foglights so I can live without it? everything else works. yippie. _________________ 55 deluxe 23 window bus

Should we mention that any relay can be swapped with any other relay and to always buff the pins and spread them a little with a razor blade/knife? _________________ Aircooled? Drive one a day, that's all I ask! |
