So I disassembled my front beam, marked all the leaves, cleaned, painted, etc. and now I'm putting it all together. I found that the thin leaf is towards the top of the stack, opposite the drawing in the shop manual, which also notes "the thin leaf must be at the bottom".
Is this going to be a problem? I suppose I could re-drill the tapered holes at each end, or once in the center, but that would seem to weaken the leaf stack.
Or I could shuffle them around, and just clean up the tapers where needed.
Advice? |

I would probably put it back like it was before I would drill anything to change it. I would add it to the list of those little unsolved mysteries. There's a fair chance my advice is worthless though. |

That's what I ended up doing after checking the Thing my son wrecked a few years ago. It's the same, so, as you say, just another mystery. The new project is headed to my daughter, so I'm trying to get everything right!
Thanks! |
