I hot tanked the block to remove all sludge & grime and surprisingly, it cleaned up pretty well. The bottom, external / internal looked great!.

Came back from chem. treatment. Did the line-bore, surface cyl. decks and drilled / tapped all oil galleys
so I can clean all that sludgy oil, grime and unblock those plugged oil galleys.

I'd say it came a long way from what it looked like before!

Considering how bad the exterior looked like, I'd say it's pretty clean inside!

So sick! Great work!
I used to work at ZIMS Autotechnik years ago a shop here in DFW, Texas and I can't tell you how many cases I would get like yours and I would put in the tumbler with chemical and it was amazing what new life it would bring to those orginial parts.

I started the engine yesterday to break it in and do some general adjustments. It started right up and ran well.
Delivered to Orange Co. Crating today. Should be ready to send out of country next week. Compare the final
product here vs. the first few photos of what the engine looked like when I first received it. Cheers Amigos! Laughing
