Thanks folks for all the nice comments and glad you like the video, and thanks vwwestyman for getting the video on there for me.
For those that have been around here a while, you've really watched the kids grow up with these videos. I can't quite believe it myself. So glad we've done these trips and so glad I took lots of video and pictures along the way.
I highly recommend family road trips in the bus, you won't regret it. _________________ 71 Westy 1600 DP, all stock Bus 1

Sweet trip, thanks for sharing!
If you and your boy find yourselfs back on the southwest again, I’d be more then happy to tour you guys around some of the trail systems. I’m a big mountain biker and recognized a lot of the trails in your video. ✌🏻 _________________ __________

Your family roadtrips are inspirational! I'm building our own 71 Westy, and I hope it serves our family as well as yours has. |

Honestly - these videos are one of the things I look forward to every year.
Every damn time I watch one, I immediately go do work on my bus in anticipation of that long elusive road trip and fantasize about where to go.
Thank you for my vicarious vacations. You take me along to some really wonderous places.

Well folks, I still don't know how to embed this thing on here but here's the link to our 11th Annual Family Road Trip video!
This year my son took over editing duties and I enjoyed seeing what he put together. It might be a little long but hope it inspires someone to take a road trip in their Bus.

Did you set up your westy tent every night? |
We only set the tent up in Telluride because the camping spot was a walk-in site. I still slept in the Bus but it worked great to have the tent up as a base camp.
I generally just set it up when we are at the same place for more than a day or two. |
Gotcha...that's about the only time I set mine up as well..multiple days and if it's all 4 of us _________________ 1959 mango-trailerbus

Thanks all. I will make the usual video too but this year we’ve upgraded the GoPro and added a drone. Hoping my son will help make it since he’s better at that now too.
The growing family is a trip too. We still fit in the Bus, kids are sort of outgrowing their beds. But they don’t complain at all and sleep fine. It helps that they know the flow of the Bus and the trips and they get along great ( you pretty much have to back there..). There are still plenty of places I want to take them and we’ll probably go by Bus as long as I can get them in it.
As far as the squeaking cot goes.. ultimately I did nothing but tell him how noisey it was and he thought the same and just quit rolling around so much, lol! We also now bring a hammock and he chose the sleep in that several nights so it ended up not being an issue this trip. However I’ve decided that the humidity does play somewhat of a roll in that it’s noticeably squeakier on the coast here in Oregon compared with the deserts of Utah. _________________ 71 Westy 1600 DP, all stock Bus 1

Hello,
Did you solve that squeaking upper cot issue for, a good nights sleep? What worked?.
Looks, like another great trip had by the family, courtesy of the old faithful.... Nice, adventure. Thanks for sharing. |

It’s so neat to watch the kids grow up. Your young lady will make the amazing instant transition to a functioning adult, and then the three of you can watch the young man go through the pinball machine of boyhood. _________________ .ssS! |
