Welded in some new rear outriggers, rear jack points, inner rocker sections, cargo floor sections, and outer front floors.

Ordered some new rubber and a headliner so I pulled the windows out to prepare. Also had to replace the driver's side pop-out latch plate.

Some light insulation just to take the tin-can out of it.

And I re-refreshed the brakes and torsion arms out. Pulled the torsion springs to check for any broken bits, and reinstalled them flipped top to bottom and end to end to restore some lift. Re-installed everything and got it back on the original '60 date stamped wheels on some 215/75/15 BFGs.

Headliner should be going in this weekend, then it'll be rebuilng the windows (damn Siglas), and some more serious engine building than I did before. Looking ready for winter!

NICE! My dream bus would be OG paint with patina. I like restored buses, but nothing beats a nice patina bus! Cool

I fell behind again on keeping this updated but I think it's about ready for Ski Shuttle duty in Steamboat. Catching back up, the headliner took longer than I thought but it gave me a chance to take things a little further than I had originally planned. Got some new pop out frames and repainted window frames to match. New window rubber all the way around too

Spent the rest of the time getting the wiring harness kinks worked out and reassembling little bits. The day I was supposed to drive it home in late October it snowed like 6-8 inches and the highway was a mess and was getting dark so I was able to find some other stuff to do that I could have done at home.

I liked this detail in the clock...

I still need to swap the 1776cc that's in it for the 2007cc that I have sitting in the shop, mainly because the 2007 has heater boxes and the drive home without them was a bit rough... Then a roof rack, some extra insulation, door panels, and I think it'll be "done". Who knows when that will be though...

Damn that's a nice bus.

And that picture would win hands down in the cool bus pics thread...

^^^ Awesome picture of an awesome bus!
Makes me wonder what they put on those Colorado roads, must be sand instead of salt, since you didn't do any special treatment to the undercarriage?
I would love winter driving here up North, if only they could stop using this nasty stuff all over the road 5 month a year...

Yup, basically just gravel on the roads in Northern Colorado so I just stay on top of rinsing the undercarriage when I put it away

Took the 15 out for its first Ski Shuttle run at Stemboat and my brother showed up later in my Doka. It’s supposed to snow for the next 2 weeks so I should have some better quality deep snow photos soon!
