Hey guys!
The hunt to find an older air-cooled is always exciting!
Finally pulled the trigger on this '68 912. It's a good driver that just needs some tune ups and it should keep me busy enough!
Check out this video I threw together of me picking it up!
Feel free to leave a like if you want to

Also check out the last 1977 911 Project I got lucky and found months back!!

Irish green would have been cool too but the yellow is great! |

NICE one!
Yellow is the color of the German post office. Notice how DHL trucks and vans are yellow? You could call it "The Postman"!
Does your ID have anything to do with the University of Akron, by chance? _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

I came into this forum by accident. However, that's like a bucket list car for me. Gorgeous car and a nice find!

I know the area well. My mother and brother still live in North Canton. We lived in the Bath area outside Fairlawn in the 1970s, and got my BA from the "Unikron of Akroversity" in 1981. Lot of fun memories from that time. I knew Dave "Sgt." Hack and the Botez family. The Botez's owned the Little Bug Shop" on Arlington and Sgt. Hack's VW shop was in Cuyahoga Falls if memory serves. I apprenticed at Henry Motors, right before it became Dave Walter VW.
You look like a young guy, so all likely before your time. The 912 is my favorite Porsche, and it looks like you got a really good one, especially for an Ohio car!
Have fun with it. _________________ Немає виправдання для війни! Я з Україною.

Wow very small world! Pretty cool to hear some history.
The car was definitely a lucky find. Me and my wife started a house search so if the price is right I might have to part ways with it :/
We shall see. I'm starting to enjoy working on it when I can.
A few new videos out check em out if you have a chance below! |

Previous owner mentioned painting it Signal Yellow and it matches pretty close to colors on Google.
Lot's of progress over the last couple months.
