There’s a 1.9 on Denver Craigslist for $200. I’d slap that in and drive the heck out of it. You don’t need HP to put a smile on your face in a Vanagon. They are just as much fun in the slow lane. |

Its been sold for about 2-3 weeks now. Was the first thing I found when I started this thread. Guy still hasn't removed the ad. |

I can never remember his exact handle but searching "andrew" (xxx000xxx) ? here should show a topic on shipping a WBX w/o accessories. Might have price estimate but shows viability, how to etc.

Alright, heres the results with the new gauge.
Cold - note engine was not idleing well due to loose IAC connector, clipped back on before I drove to the grocery store

Idle:
After 5 min drive to grocery store

Warm

Idle (showing about 2.5psi):
About 2000 rpm (showing about 8.5psi):
If you can't tell, especially in the Warm video I try and rev the engine to about 2000 RPM, hold it there for a sec or two then rev a bit more. You can hear me pause each time during rev at about 2000. |

I don't know any thing more to do except to pull the relief plunger and see that it is free and not too badly scored. |

Relief piston and spring were both replaced with Van Cafe aftermarket parts at the start of this thread and even the old parts looked brand new if not the same after market parts I was installing. This was the start to me thinking someone had already gone through the same things I did with this engine knowing it had low OP before it was sold to the kid before me.
Sthinks but at least I'm at a comfterable spot now, knowing I didn't possible leave someting untouched that would of been the culpret to my low oil pressure. |
